At the 2006 Parish Ministry Day today we had a booth showcasing pictures of our activities, a full stand of informational pamphlets and membership applications.Besides having this display we also had a breakfast to support the school, serving pancakes, eggs, sausage, and more.

The Carmelite Fish Fry benefits the wonderful nuns who pray for us without ceasing next door to the Cathedral. The annual dinner is a joint effort now of our council and the Helias council.This meant a lot of new facing working in and around the kitchen.

Our District Deputy, Rich Clarkston, Lohman, MO was on hand and talked with David Dillon after the meeting.I think he was saying something like, "We need to talk about my mileage allowance if I've got to stop by another meeting (if we form a Ladies Auxiliary)."

To get things started for Parish Ministry Day our council cooked breakfast for the St. Joseph Cathedral School 8th grade. This helped raise money for them. The kids and their parents helped serve and clean up.Aren't these some hard working Knights in action?

We had our second Adopt-A-Highway cleanup day on Saturday, July 23. Once again Dale Highfill organized a crew to get out early. The heat was on as temperatures were heading toward triple digits again.

We held a First Degree last night prior to our regular meeting. New members to our council include: Randy Arnold, James Nice and Jerome Oligschlaeger. We also had news members for the St. Martins Council (7194) Ron Rackers and David Erwin.According to the latest statistics we had 284 members at the end of May. Counting our new ones last night and a transfer we're now at 288 members!

Oup Adopt-a-Highway program got kicked off Saturday morning, April 16 thanks to Dale Highfill and crew. This picture was taken early. We did have others out who cleaned up 1.6 miles of highway along Rt. 179 between Christy drive and Rt. C. Thanks to all the volunteers.
